Orion: Revival

Nation: United Gordonopia
Developer: GG Studio 7
Publisher:
Platform(s): Cronos Elite
Genre: Stealth action
Release Date: December 5
Summary: This revival of the legendary Orion trilogy from the GMEGA and Cronos game consoles blends new and old elements into a masterpiece of a game. From what previews have shown, Orion: Revival may turn out to be one of the best of the Cronos Elite. The game centers around the lone S.P.A.R.T.A.N. Captain Corum Orion from Gordonopia. In an alternate universe, where there are three powers competing for dominance on the continent (Gordonopia, Kjeldor, and Deska), Orion is a legendary figure. Between 2014 and 2019 (the timespan of the original three ), the Captain terminated the Deskan leader, discovered an imminent Kjeldoran invasion, acquired the specs for several military advancements, and more. Unfortunately, his biggest mission was also his last. In January of 2019, the Prime Minister was captured by a Deskan special forces team, and taken back to Deska. Orion infiltrated the nation and the building where the hostage was held. After rescuing the PM, and getting him safely on the way back to Gordonopia, Orion was shot in the back of the head by a Deskan sniper, the lone survivor of the special forces unit.
Now, 12 years later, it is 2031, and using new technology, Orion is brought back to life. But it isn't his government that brings him back. A resistance group awakens him, and tells him the sad truth. Soon after his death, the PM was assassinated by one of his own guards, and the military set up a new totalitarian government. The last resistance is nearly crushed, and believes that Orion, a longstanding hero of the Republic, is their last hope.
The game will come with 3 more disks containing the original 3 with updated graphics.

Nomad[]

Game Name: Nomad

Nation of Origin: Falkasia

Developer: Universal Interactive

Publisher: Universal Interactive

Genre: Survival/MMO

Release Date: July 2009

Game Summary:

Nomad is an original software creation brought to you by Universal Interactive; easy to learn yet hard to master. Although an MMO by classification, it is unlike any other similar game in the fact that it is completely freeform, and allows the players to make of it what they wish. Set in a fantastic, medieval/middle-aged-themed world, players can utilize any number of starting tools and the environment itself to, in essence, survive and live a virtual life in the world of Nomad. Everything in game, from swords to buildings to trees to virtual animals, all the way down to individual grass and resource "tiles" have something that can be done with them. Whether they can be cut or harvested for resources, used in the creation of other items, lived in, raised or lowered in terms of height, or whatever, everything ingame exists for a purpose. Certain items, when combined or used with others, can create more advanced objects to open up even more possibilities. Players can even band together with others and form tribes or villages, work together on projects, claim territory, etc. Although a steep learning curve exists, players are not thrust helter-skelter into the world as you likely would in real-life. There exists a "Beginner Continent" on which newcomers start out, featuring a series of simple, guided "mini-tutorials" to learn the basic ideas and controls of the game. In an effort to prevent boredom and discouragement during said tutorials, and loss of interest as a result, players may opt to forgo any of the tutorials and procede "down-the-line" without repercussion or consequence. There is no Pay-to-Play fee involved, and once the Tutorial has been finished, players are cast out of the Beginner Continent and onto the Mainland, where they may begin their virtual lives. Although it is an MMO, PvP is generally looked down upon and regulated, and therefore is not a major factor in the game.
